Dana Point Coastal Arts began with the new millennium, a grass-roots
effort of a small group of residents with the vision of encouraging
cultural activities in the City by bringing together both the talent
and devotees of the fine and lively arts.
Our program plans include large and small events, from concerts
and art exhibits to intimate discussion and workshop groups on
topics to be decided by members. Education will be a major effort
- to foster an Interest in and appreciation of the arts within the community.
Our name defines our position In the Southern California community
- a small city on this spectacular coast with a population known
for its appreciation of the good things in life. Dana Point Coastal
Arts offers a cornucopia of activities - many types of events;
the scope is as broad as the
interests of its members who are encouraged to suggest and participate
in planning.
Dana Point is known by the majority of nonresidents for its sea-faring
history. The vision of Dana Point Coastal Arts is to establish
its reputation also as a casual place that has drawn numerous painters
and writers, educators, and scientists, and others who appreciate
its ambiance.

Over the past 4 years DPCA has offered several programs in various Interesting
locations
about the city - art exhibits, musical programs, a best-selling artist's night,
poetry readings, themed dinners, juried art shows plays, and more.
