WHO SHOULD ATTEND: All supporters of arts & culture in Dana Point.
Under the City of Dana Point's New Business is Agenda Item #9, there will be a discussion of potential formation of an Arts & Culture Commission.
It is essential that there be a large contingency of the community there to show support for such an action. You are encouraged to speak during public comments, if you would like, or just be in the audience, an additional way to show support for this new commission. The stage is set in Dana Point for the possibility of a newly formed Arts & Culture Commission.

The Mission of Dana Point Coastal Arts:
- To establish a cultural arts and education center in Dana Point
that serves the greater public.
- To provide permanent and visiting exhibits,
performances, and related cultural opportunities that will
enhance the quality of life in Dana

to foster and develop creative excellence among artists and
to promote awareness of and
appreciation for the arts.

Dana Point Coastal Arts began with the new millennium, a grass-roots
effort of a small group of residents with the vision of encouraging
cultural activities in the City by bringing together both the talent
and devotees of the fine and lively arts.
Our program plans include large and small events, from concerts
and art exhibits to intimate discussion and workshop groups on
topics to be decided by members. Education will be a major effort
- to foster an Interest in and appreciation of the arts within the community.
Our name defines our position In the Southern California community
- a small city on this spectacular coast with a population known
for its appreciation of the good things in life. Dana Point Coastal
Arts offers a cornucopia of activities - many types of events;
the scope is as broad as the
interests of its members who are encouraged to suggest and participate

history. The vision of Dana Point Coastal Arts is to establish
its reputation also as a casual place that has drawn numerous painters
and writers, educators, and scientists, and others who appreciate
